The Philippine Orchid Society together with the National Commission on Culture and Arts and Quezon City Tourism Office is sponsoring a "Flower Arranging Competition on February 6, 2009, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Prizes to be given are as follows:

• First Place-- Php 3,000 plus Trophy
• Second Place-- Php 2,000 plus Trophy
• Third Place-- Php 1,000 plus Trophy

Guidelines:

1. Categories: Still Life, Landscape
2. Medium: oil pastel on 20" x 30" illustration board
3. The competition is open to all enrolled High School students of  Public Schools of Quezon City.  Two representatives per school are allowed. One for still life & one for landscape.  The competition will be limited to 20 entries per category.   In cases when there are excess entries, the committee will put  the said entry on wait list, on a first entry first serve basis.  In case of no show, the entry on the wait list will be allowed to compete.

7. The theme will be announce during the competition
8. Decision of the judges are final. All entries will become  the property of the Philippine Orchid Society

   • Technique, 20%
   • Creativity, 20%
   • Composition and Visual Impact, 40%
